What it does

Built for one job — losing fat, simply

Slope is for beginners who want to train, eat enough protein, and watch real progress without the noise of a hundred features.

The trend, not the scale

Daily weigh-ins jump around for reasons that aren't fat. Slope plots a smoothed 7-day trend so you can see where you're actually heading.

A target that adapts

Slope learns your real daily burn from your own weight and food data and adjusts your calorie target as you go — not a one-size formula that's wrong by week three.

Log your training

Work through your split, log each set with last session's numbers in view, and watch your volume and consistency build over time.

Eat for your goal

A hand-curated food database with accurate calories and protein per serving — including everyday staples — so logging a meal takes a tap, not a guess.

Works with Apple Health

Reads your weight and activity, writes your workouts back to Health — so Slope fits the rest of your setup, including a smart scale if you have one.

Private by default

No account, no servers, no analytics, no third-party SDKs. Your data lives on your device and your own iCloud — and an optional Face ID lock keeps it yours.

Frequently asked

Questions & answers

If you don't find what you need here, a note is always welcome — the contact button is below.

Is Slope free?

The app is free to download. After a short free trial, a single one-time purchase unlocks it permanently across your iPhone and iPad — no subscriptions, no ads, ever.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-up and no login. Open the app, set your goals, and start tracking.

Where is my data stored?

On your device — and, when you're signed into iCloud, kept privately in sync across your devices through your own iCloud account. Slope runs no servers of its own and never sees your data.

Why does Slope ask for Health access?

So it can read your weight and activity and write your workouts back to Apple Health. It's entirely optional and granted per data type — you can allow some, deny others, or none at all, and change your mind anytime. Slope still works without it.

Does my health data leave my device?

No. Health and fitness data stays on your devices and your private iCloud. It is never sent to a server, never used for advertising or marketing, and never sold or shared.

How does the weight trend work?

Slope shows a smoothed 7-day trend line so a heavy-dinner or low-water day doesn't read as real change. The trend is what tells you whether you're losing fat.

How does the adaptive calorie target work?

Instead of a generic formula, Slope works out your true daily burn from the relationship between what you eat and how your weight trend moves, then recommends a target — and adjusts it as your body does. It needs a couple of weeks of data to settle, and shows a "still learning" state until then.

Can I use pounds instead of kilograms?

Yes. Choose kg or lb in Settings; your weights convert everywhere while staying accurate underneath.

How do I log a workout or a meal?

Pick a routine and log each set as you go — your previous numbers show inline. For food, search the database, pick a serving, and save; you can add your own foods too.

Can I lock the app?

Yes. Turn on App Lock in Settings to require Face ID or your passcode each time Slope opens.

Which devices and versions are supported?

iPhone and iPad. Slope requires iOS or iPadOS 26 or later.

I found a bug or have an idea.

Both are very welcome. Email using the button below, and please include your device model and OS version so it can be looked into quickly.

Privacy

Your data stays yours

Slope is built local-first. This is the whole policy — there isn't a hidden second layer.

Slope collects no data for itself. There is no account, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. Your information lives on your device and syncs only through your own private iCloud account. Slope operates no servers and cannot see your data.

  • Health & Fitness data. With your permission, Slope reads the following from Apple Health for context, and writes the following back so the app fits your wider health setup. Access is requested per type and you can grant, deny, or revoke any of it at any time in the Health app or in Settings. Reads: body weightstepsactive energyheart rate Writes: workoutsbody weightdietary energy & protein
  • Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, and is never sold or shared with anyone — in line with Apple's HealthKit requirements.
  • Nothing leaves your devices and your iCloud. Health data, weights, workouts and meals are stored on-device and synced only through your personal iCloud private database. They are never transmitted to any server operated by Slope or a third party.
  • No account, no profiling. Slope never asks for your name, email, or any identifier, and builds no profile of you.
  • Purchases. The one-time unlock is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Slope receives only whether the app is unlocked — never your payment details.
  • You're in control. Edit or delete any entry in the app, revoke Health access whenever you like, and removing Slope deletes its data from your device. iCloud copies are managed in your own iCloud settings.
